    New TV Suggestion

I won't be able to grab an OLED as that is just out of my budget right now. If I went Sharp, I would have to get the Geek Squad extended warranty for the very reason you mention. I'm just not sure out of my choices, what would be the best route to go. All seemed to have similar reviews on rtings.

    New TV Suggestion

Hello all, I am here looking for some suggestions on a potential tv replacement. First and foremost, I purchased last weekend a Vizio E55-C1 television from Best Buy. I had upgraded from a Sharp Aqous 46" LCD 1080P television. This TV got re-purposed for a renovation project which afforded me...

Viewsonic Pro8200 Projector - Image adjustment

Hello all, New to the forums and am looking for a little bit of help with my Viewsonic Pro 8200. It seems that no matter what settings I adjust on the projector, I cannot get the entire image to have 90-degree corners. In other words, the image appears as a trapezoid with the lower left and...

    Best MSI gaming laptop?

Construkt is correct. All you have to do on Xotics website is drop from the 4800 to 4700 on processor and its $1290.

DIgital Storm - Javelin, decent value for money?

If I am not mistaken, the Javelin is a rebranded Sager 7358. You can look up info on that model for an idea.

I will look into what Pat at Xotic has to say about the pricing difference and options for that model. As far as memory goes, I can max that 8gb out easy so I will certainly need to do something about that. Thanks for showing me that model Construkt.

    New Gaming Laptop

I assume that the laptop is not running dual channel memory but instead an individual stick? Is it still configured like the old model where I can put a secondary 2.5" drive internally?

    New Gaming Laptop

I fixed the links so you could see both. I am leaning on the MSI as well, I just wasn't sure if that would be the case or not. The costing is so close that I thought the MSI might be the better option. Additionally, the one on Amazon isn't the build I was looking at. I was using the 2OC-022US...

    New Gaming Laptop

Hello All, Finally now getting around to finalizing the choices. I have switched some things up a bit. Not sure the Lenovo is a good choice after seeing both of these machines. Here is what I am looking at. Sager NP7358 -- Addons -- 12gb ram, Blu Ray read and Intel AC 7260 Wireless - $1144...

    New Gaming Laptop

So for those who have been reading my various posts, I made it to my Microcenter today. I was able to play with the Lenovo Y510P, Toshiba Qosmio, Asus ROG 750 and the MSI GT60 Dominator. Out of all of them, I didn't care for the Asus one bit. The Qosmio is surprisingly very robust and the build...

    New Gaming Laptop

The lenovo certainly looks amazing. The 860m in the Sager has higher frames I think 3 in BF4 vs. the Lenovo. It's not true for all of the test games, but that is just one example. I do really like the keyboard of the Lenovo as opposed to the Sager. The nice thing about the Sager is it still...

    New Gaming Laptop

Kinda back peddling a little bit. Took a more in depth look at the Sager NP7358 and am no intrigued. I looked at some FPS numbers for the 860m vs. the 755m sli and they are all relatively close. The Sager also gives me the additional internal hdd bay and msata if I want it. I have an ssd to...

Construkt, Thanks for your help with this. I plan on getting the 510P. I am just waiting for the i7 version to come in stock at TigerDirect. My agent and I have worked out pricing on the unit. Thanks

    New Gaming Laptop

Construkt, That's about what I figured. Battery life isn't a huge huge issue as I said I use my laptops plugged in and never on battery. The heat issue is something I was concerned about for sure. I had taken a look at the MSI GE60 with a single GPU. I know the 765 isn't as good as the 755m...
