I wouldn't call it a high risk but definitely an increased risk. Obviously the battery itself isn't cracked much or it wouldn't work properly. But if it starts to leak all bets are off on what may happen
It's pretty common in new laptops. Soldier 4 or 8gb then just upgrade it a bit to fit the specs they wish to sell on an individual model. Makes install faster for them later
Or load up a bunch of different games at once and see if ram useage goes up above 8gb. Asus wouldn't dare sell a product that has faked specs. They're too big of a company to intentionally ruin their reputation for that
If it's soldiered and you're not better than most surgeons with your hands you can't upgrade the cpu. Most laptops won't overclock as they get too hot to run fill boost permanently anyway.
I've not ever seen anyone do anything but change to an identical keyboard as they're model specific.

Yes the 4400 is the GPU for 4th gen i5s. Most laptops can't run all cores at the boost speed so it might be over 1.7 but it won't be 2.7 fully loaded for long
Probably will load....and promptly make you sad the first time you get in a car or try to run. I don't think you'll enjoy it much as that cpu and GPU are both poor and you'll be splitting 4gb ram between the game and the hd4400
