The purpose of the internet was not to display ads. It's not the purpose now, either. Advertisers saw an opportunity, and chose to take advantage of it. Nothing wrong with that. Some people chose not to take part in that venture, especially once the ads became intrusive (and downright harmful)...

Eventually, manual drivers will be the most dangerous threat on the road, and the day is coming when driving manually (at least on major highways) will be illegal. It'll be really cool to see how an entire highway of linked autonomous cars coordinating traffic perfectly.

You know car companies- they won't start doing something about until after so many deaths are proven or they have to file bankruptcy.
