Not a solution but I don't recommend reinstalling windows, I have the same issue on a brand new pc not even 2 weeks old. Fresh install. I have a Razer Man O' War TE and even when the mic is muted if I play youtube or any audio it still plays through. I can't seem to figure the issue.
