You need some sort of PCIe based port. Like I said, most/all commercially available external graphics enclosures use thunderbolt. Not sure what video you're referring to, but Linustechtips did it hanging off a custom M.2 card from a PCIe/NVMe M.2 port. I doubt your laptop has such a thing.

That's what I was afraid of. You bought a graphics card that gets installed in a desktop computer, not a laptop. Also, your laptop doesn't have Thunderbolt, which is what most/all external GPU enclosures use. Return the GTX1050Ti. It's of no use to your laptop.

Please provide a link to the 1050Ti you purchased. Also, make/model of the laptop.
