Asus STRIX SOAR and Razer Tiamat 7.1 odd issue

The sub DOES fire in stereo output. Both when I set the card to stereo output as well as hit the 7.1 button on the headphones. The ASUS Strix SOAR actually does NOT have an LFE setting like the older ASUS cards do.

Asus STRIX SOAR and Razer Tiamat 7.1 odd issue

Hello audio gurus. So I've got a rather....interesting problem. I have long owned a Razer Tiamat 7.1 v1 (the analog plug headphone), but not necessarily the PC and Soundcard to appropriately use it. I daisy-chained it onto an old gaming laptop via an external soundcard (one of these...

    UHD Blu-ray/Xbox one question

Not trying to be confrontational about it, my tech knowledge is just too deficient to make an accurate guess about the situation. And I'd like to know before I buy a disc.

    UHD Blu-ray/Xbox one question

Some recent movies that I have been looking forward to purchasing have been released (among other formats) on 4K UHD Blu-ray. After a cursory google search, I've found that these discs cannot be played on non-UHD Blu-ray players (at least most of them; some people claim they can play them...
