    Sound doesn't work thru hdmi cable from hp laptop to tv when it worked before any answers?

    If you have windows 8 then you should go to the control panel, then hardward and sound. When you click on sound after entering that the hardware and sound, right click the box in the playback tab and enable the disabled devices.
