as much as i can understand your answer i really want to fix this myself and th e more i look at this i belive i need a new inverter board. So does anyone know where i can pick one up?

my emerson flatscreen quit working after a lightning storm so i took it apart and checked the fuse and their is no continnuity through it so i figured the fuse blew, i closed the circut temporarily (shorted across the two fuse terminals) and tried to plug it in and it just arc's any thoughts...
