    Thanks for responding, just to clarify, I'm not concerned about whether it is classed as "new" or not but whether the CrystalDisk report means that it is likely to fail. I read a post elsewhere that CrystalDisk isn't designed for SSDs but I've tried all my other USB sticks and none of them...
