Apple's Next iPhone Needs More Megapixels

Why couldn't you take 2 identical photographs? Couldn't you match the exposures? Why was the scarf rearranged?

Can the NSA Remotely Turn On Mobile Phones?

OMG... I see this all the time. Tech nerds so deep in the issue that they are completely out of touch with normal people. Snowden was probably just referring to "off" as 99% of the worlds population does - when the phone is put to "sleep". Many (if not most) users do not know the difference...

Apple OS X Mavericks May Have Serious Security Flaw

Samsung Fined $340K for Fake Online Comments Targeting HTC By Chloe Albanesius October 24, 2013 02:15pm EST Taiwanese officials this week handed down a $340,000 fine against Samsung for waging what they considered to be an unfair online campaign against HTC devices. As noted by the BBC...

Is iPhone Fingerprint Security Secure At All? (Op-Ed)

I'll agree that this was a very poorly written article. The questions raised are legitimate - the analysis was irrational. Apple has implemented the first widely used biometric security technology. It will be interesting to see how well it plays out. My initial impression is that this...

Why the iPhone 5S Will Kill Your Point-and-Shoot Camera

The faces of the 2 people in the "color balanced flash" photo look deformed. Their faces are lopsided in a bizarre way. What happened? Why is the iPhone photo so grotesque?

Why Nokia's Patents Won't Save The Company

I've said this before: Steve Jobs is not creative and he has not said he is particularly creative. Steve feels he has "good taste" and a knack for blending an artistic touch with technology that results in great products - in an esthetic way - not necessarily in a technical way.

Dell and HP Poke Fun At Apple, iPad

I've been buying Dell and HP computers for years. I hate the crap-ware you have to delete off when you buy one. It takes hours and hours to get the PC set up correctly. My wife bought an iPad - and we have not had to modify it in anyway. I will never buy another Windows-piece-of-crap-PC again.

Nokia Suing Apple For Infringing on Everything

I have not seen anything on either an Apple or a Nokia cell phone that I hadn't seen in the 1980's on PCs other than perhaps some of the touch-screen technology which was pushed along a little by the iPhone... And I think even Steve Jobs would agree that inovation isn't what Apple's success is...

AT&T to Impose DSL, U-Verse Usage Caps

33% of Blockbuster's revenue was from late fees. And then they went bankrupt.

AT&T to Impose DSL, U-Verse Usage Caps

I would prefer paying $0.01 per 10MB of usage rather than $30 per month.

AT&T to Impose DSL, U-Verse Usage Caps

I have no problem paying $0.01 for 10MB of usage. The problem is when an ISP plays a dollars for random usage levels game that is calculated to trick people in accidently paying accidental fees. A very annoying example of this is an automobile parking lot that charges $8 per day maximum and $3...

Wozniak Confirms Issues with White iPhone 4

I'm guessing that they tried to replace the black, shiny tube with a white tube - because it looked better - and that did not work. The flash is close to the camera lens. It may have shined light through the white tube where a black tube blocked the light from the flash.

Wozniak Confirms Issues with White iPhone 4

The camera lens on the back of the iPhone 4 is a complex set of concentric materials. The outside area is, of course, the black iPhone case. Inside of that is a silver metal ring. Inside of that is a clear window. Behind that is a black shiny material tube. Inside of that is a flat gray...

Google's Stunning Real-Time Voice Translation App

Esperanto did not work as a universal language. I think the solution is a universal standard English language version based on a vocabulary of around 2,000 words with a very strict limitation on grammar, spelling and perhaps a few key eliminations of some odd English language artifacts.
