    I liked that I could set Quality to High than set desired bitrate and resolution and get a really good quality MP4. Eg. compress a 1:30 hr movie to under 1Gig and still have pretty decent quality. Whereas other software I have tried you only have option of setting quality by % or target size...

    It use to be a really good freeware video converter but unless you have Malwarebytes Premium running or purchase the clean installer I would stay away from this Malware/PUP.

    Given the date modified matches other files in that screenshot I would say it is not likely a virus. The size of 13 KB also matches the size of mine.

    Although OS X virus are very rare they do exist. Having real-time protection is never a bad thing regardless of OS you are running.

    I'm currently have the same problem with my Samsung BD player. I came to the conclusion that my router is to close since it is only about 2 feet away so I dug through my box of computer junker for a cable and plugged it in. So maybe your router is to close to the TV???

    I should also add that it could also be a router infection. I would reflash firmware to the latest version or better yet use DD-WRT on it.

    I would suspect infection but I would also check what Chrome extensions you have installed.
