Oh. After all I went through! My son was trying to help me (from another city) and when I went to MENU - SUPPORT - etc. to get the model number, I saw UPDATE APPS (somewhere) and it was set to AUTO, but I figured - what the heck! It took about 5 minutes, turned itself off and back on. Works...
