    rear 5.1 surround sound speakers don't work

    Firestick ... but casting from what source. NONE of the Youtube videos support Dolby. Turn OFF all simulated surround and make sure audio passes to the reciever without any interpretation from the TV. If the receiver is an AVR, you can try plugging the firestick or chromecast into the AVR...

    Sony STR-DN1080, 5.1 surround back speakers don't work even though they work in the setup using test tone.

    Cast this https://archive.org/details/5.1AudioSpeakerTest Youtube won't work, and turn OFF the surround on the TV - thats simulated crap and stops the real stuff. Also, set the Digital Audio output to Bitstream.
