I will take it to a repair shop to have it replaced since I've never changed it myself and I don't want to mess anything up. Thank you for your help!

I updated the BIOS and the laptop still powers on when plugged in, the backlight is turned off and the date/time is wrong but now the date and time changes when I deselect and select again the "set time automatically" option in settings (without restarting it).

The original battery is still working. It's removable and mostly isn't in the laptop. I use the original charger. I will try updating the BIOS and tell you if it worked.
