It sounds like a problem of incapability, have you tried to turn on your laptop with either battery or adapter connected? Then we can identify the problem component.

Have you tried to switch your laptop from high performance mode into battery saving mode? And how long does it run with your mobile connected to be charged? If you haven't then I think it's normal for your battery to last about 2 hours...

Quality is really a very big problem, does your laptop, I mean the part with battery, go hot when charging? Some bad batteries without protection will show such cases as I know, coz it just went hot when charging and then power off... so I feel really you should take some good ones when choosing...

It sounds like that your adapter went down? Otherwise how come would the LED lit up with your laptop instead of with the power source... Maybe you're gonna get a replacement adapter?
