    I think I might go with the Blue Snowball Ice and use my in earphones. I'd rather not have to wait for a headset to break in for it to be comfy.

    Comfort is the main thing. I bought a cheap mic yesterday (it was less than £10) and it was seriously lacking. So it seems it seems I either get a mic like a Blue Snowball or buy a new headset. I've looked at the Steelseries Siberia V2 and the Sennheiser PC330 as headset options.
