    My pictures are on the camera but when i connect the sd card using USB cabl or reader to pc it tells me the file is empty

    if it is detected u can use to recover photos with Recuva (a recovery software) , let me know if it worked..... or else the card will be locked , look on the side of memory card for a kind of switch there
