It looks like you are right...some website show the same model with 144 but not this one... i am getitng my brother now to call the laptop place to find out... intriguing!

My brother recently purchased this gaming laptop and while advertised to show 144mhz refresh rate on the panle, we cannot for the life of us figure out how to change the existing option which shows only 60mhz... asus was contacted and they have simply shown the route we have already been down to...
