Thanks for the help. I figured it out right after my last reply. You treat IE9 as an update to the IE hierarchy and remove it through that screen.

I don't see an option for compatability mode since downloading and install it essentially makes it the only option for anything IE related. How do you go about uninstalling IE9? I went the control panel route to programs and "turn Windows features on and off" and did it from there. However...
