Took out hard disk and memory compartment....everything looked in place

Acer aspire 5517 doesn't work When I press the power button the blue light turns on but that's all the laptop does The battery charges because the battery indicator shows (yellow blinking light) I tried taking out battery and just have the ac adapter...still nothing Also tried taking out battery...
