Got it updated to android 15 and now have that option to customize lock screen. Had to go through several security patches before was able to update to android 15. BTW, on android 14, searching for keypress came up empty. So far everything seems to be good. Got all his texts transferred...

There is no results for that. Is this something that is only available with android 15? Newest phone has android 14 while previous phone has android 15. On previous phone, there is a setting called customize lock screen, new phone does not have that. Not sure when new phone will be updated...

Ok so back to not being able to long press on the lock screen. Any idea why I am not able to do that? i have restarted the phone, am able to long press on home screen and move around icons.

Yes I did and had sms text option selected. Don't quite get that about text being stored in phone. Why are they not stored in sms card? I mean after all, need service in order to be able to text, right?
