Great -- I just wasn't sure of what materials would be safe, and JB Weld sounds like the solution. It's odd because there's no broken plastic, the previous connection seemed to stay just fine, but this one... brand new, and it just keeps sliding right out. Thank you for that answer!

Hey guys, I've just replaced the DC jack on a laptop and am noticing that the connector on the end of the wire keeps falling out of the connection on the motherboard. It's driving me nuts, because it doesn't really "click" in and as soon as I put the case back together, suddenly the power stops...
