F1 to F12 on the top row, .... I wish I could figure out how to put a picture on this platform ! Its a Gateway computer, model no is NE56R15h. second row down there are the numbers and with the tab bar , punctuations, plus symbols in green, and it is these symbols I am trying to use...

There is a green pounds symbol by #3, but how do I get this to come up on my screen ? it is a Gateway laptop !
