Hi, I tried that and it didn't work. But after much research I found the fix. On the JBL Flip 4 you hold down the plus and the play buttons at the same time. The lights on the speaker start to flash and then it turns off. When you turn the speaker back on the problem is resolved. Whew!

When I try to pair my JBL Flip 4 I keep getting this message and it never connects
