Welll maybe you could be a nice guy and pm a link?? I spent 2 days on this so far...with no solution. I googled it as well and within 5 min found tons of solutions... none of them worked. That's why I need the help. I have seen bios lock out questions asked and answered a billion times on this...

Thanks for the help... I did that already.. no go... I think this the insyde EFI bios?? Screen goes so fast I cant read it.. any way I think the bois is the one where in stead of it being in the cmos.. its in something called an epprom?? I tried this tool http://boginjr.com/it/sw/dev/de-cmos3/...

Ok tried 6 zero's... no luck... halted on try #3. No hash or error code shown with this bios. Just got the halt screen. Thanks for the suggestion. X

Ok thanks... yes f2 is how to access the bios.. that is where it needs the password. I did take the batteries (both) out for over 24 hours.. password still there... I have not seen the "6 zeros" thing before... will try it right now...fingers crossed!! Thanks X

I recently bought a used acer 5552-7819. There is a bios password in it. I found out after I got it home. The former owner does not know what the password is. I have spent 2 days reading (till my eyes bleed) about this issue. So for I have tried.. removal of mother board battery, shorting the...
