sorry.. its a cumbersome answer.. let me put it in this way.. to get 5.1 ch audio.. connect your tv through this cable www.amazon.in/BlueRigger-Digital-Optical-Audio-Toslink/... so output from tv should be digital audio (just side of the 3.5 mm cable) and it should be the input for this...

hmmm... same here.. its sad... but the good thing is am having the but its a costly one... so what we need when we want to listen 5.1 channel surrounding sound are... 1- 5.1 channel speaker 2- 5.1 channel supported tv 3. a link from tv to speaker 4- 5.1 channel encoded audio or video...
