    My battery is not on the outside of my laptop, so how do I start with a hard roboot?

    I have power to my laptop but there is nothing on the screen except when I unplug it from the power source, it tells me I am on battery power, and my pointer is there but that is all. If I plug it in, it says plugged in. How can I get my laptop to start up/
