    Thanks, yeah, I figured... I'm just hoping it's the screen/cable and not something with the connection on the motherboard. I'm recommending (it's my sister's computer) they try a new screen.

    I mentioned in the original post that I tested with an external monitor and that it does work (both on the on board intel and Nvidia 960m GPU)
