7.2 sound

Okay... I'm somewhat of a "PC guy," but not a sound guy. I will be editing a movie and it will have 7.1 sound. The movie will be played on the PC. Will the PC connect to the Smart TV (via HDMI cable) and then the Smart TV will connect to the 7.2 surround system? Or is there another method of...
