My son wants a capture card so h can record gameplay on his Switch then upload to YouTube via his laptop. The only one we have been recommended to use is the Elgato HD60S, but his laptop won't run it.

I hooked up my Nikon Coolpix B500 Digital camera through an HDMI Capture card to my Computer via external USB 3.0 for webcam/streaming use. The computer is recognizing it but I can only cycle through the menus and not display video through the camera. Any Ideas how I can get this camera set up...
Can I use a gaming capture card, such as the Elgato, to stream live sporting events for my school? Or is that no compatible. I'm trying to use a Canon XA10 camera. Do I need a Magewell instead? I plan on using wirecast.
My files from Virtual dub for some reason are sped up and out of sync in Sony Vegas Pro, why?
