comparison of line out voltage levels between dvd and cassette players

I want to use an equalizer to modulate the sound signal from my dvd player before it enters my tv set, but i want to know if the dvd's output voltage is the same as the output (line out) voltage from a cassette deck, since the equalizer I want to use is an old device. Thanks, Franco Munini -...
