no charge

My husband dropped my cell phone a few days ago, now it won't charge. It charged fine yesterday, now nothing. Do I need to get a new battery, phone or get software fixed?

so i got a laptop that was broken. i replaced the mobo and now it works. when i turned it on for the first time it said the battery is not detected. i figured that it sat so long that the battery was junk so i got a new one. i plunged it in and it work! i could use my laptop without a charger...
