So I have £1000 to spend on a new camera. I'd like the best quality video possible (but preferably not 4k cause file size and editing time), interchangeable lenses, good af and will be using it for the following:
Going travelling soonish,
and want to get into short films and vlogging.
I'm looking at the sony a6300 but the not tiltable screen buggs me.
But yeah, £1000 for the above stuff, any input is much appreciated.
I'd suggest the Sony rx10 line up. It is a bridge camera. Meaning it has a built in lens (can not be removed), but it looks like a DSLR. The original version is £630 on amazon. It is weather sealed, which is handy for travel. The lens is a very good quality and a constant f/2.8. Bring lots of batteries.
The a6300 is a considerably more capable camera, but it functions like an SLR not the point and shoots you might be used to. You want closeups? You need a closeup lens. You want landscapes? You will need a wide angle lens. And so on. Because of your varied goals, you aren't going to get it done for 1000 with this camera. You would need to commit a bit more and be prepared to travel with a camera bag and lenses. I do this. I travel with my full-frame (large DSLR) and a handful of lenses (which lenses vary depending on where I am headed).
