I AM LOOKING FOR A NEW LAPTOP, SMALLER THE BETTER REALLY BUT I KNOW I'M ASKING FOR A LOT CONSIDERING THE BUDGET.
I'M IN THE UK SO PLEASE BEAR THAT IN MIND.
IDEALLY I'D LIKE A GT555M OR SIMILAR.


1. What is your budget? - £600/$950

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? - 15.6" AND UNDER

3. What screen resolution do you want? - BEST POSSIBLE FOR THE MONEY

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? - NO

5. How much battery life do you need? - 1-2 HOURS

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? - YES ( SKYRIM / FALLOUT 3 / CRYSIS / STALKER )

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) - WATCH MOVIES, LOOK AT CAD DRAWINGS/ PDF /WORD PROCESSING

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? - 500GB SHOULD BE FINE.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? - 2-3 YEARS

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? - DVD ROM

Hello niallcameron;

I don't think you're going to find a GT 555M notebook in your budget range.
The best I found was a GT 630M (GT 540M) for just under £600
Acer Aspire 5750G 15" notebook
Core i5-2450M 2.5GHz CPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, 15.6" 1366x768 LCD w/ GT 630M graphics.

To move up into a GT 635M (GT 555M performance level) you'll need an extra £100
ASUS N55SL 15" notebook
Core i5-2430M 2.4Ghz CPU, 6GB RAM, 500GB HDD, 15.6" 1366x768 LCD with GT 635M graphics
To sweeten the deal it also has USB 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0, upgraded speakers and Blu-Ray optical drive.

I have found a Fujitsu i5 2450 with 8gb ram and a GT525 for £499.
