Hello all! Great forum!
Can you tell me please, what is the principle of remote car diagnostics? That is, I can check the car being away from the specialist?
I would be grateful for an answer!

Hello! Yes, you're right.
With diagnostic scanners and software you can check your car. With the help of remote vehicle diagnostics, an expert can obtain an insight into the vehicle’s state and localize the problem without being physically present on-site.
You can see all the nuances in the article vehicle to network
There is a description of the process step by step.

Remote car diagnostics is absolutely a thing.
The principle? A scanner is connected to, or part of, the car computer system. It connects via the cellphone network to a server somewhere.

Many many new cars have this built in. OnStar, for instance.

Simply google "Remote Automobile Diagnostics", and you'll find lots of info.
