having exact same issue tonight too, i am presuming a windows update has screwed something up. the battery is only 6 months old and i hardly use my UX303LA notebook.

anyone know who to contact from the UK? cba sending my laptop in the post to some random country.

Is the battery an OEM unit or a 3rd party one? Did you try reseating the battery? For a contact, contact the vendor of the laptop, support is where their support is, you can't select what they do with the system when they get it.
