It does, but I need to use financial accounting software and don't want to have to do that work only at my desk...

You can save a bit of money with the following Inspiron 15 i7559 for $1,029 CAD. It is similar to the model you linked above except it has a quad core i5-6300HQ which does not have Hyper Threading (HT); the i7-6700HQ has HT. HT does not really improve performance in games which is why when gamers build a desktop PC they select a quad core i5 with no HT over a quad core i7 which does have HT.

It actually sells for less in Canada than in the US. In the US that laptop is on sale for $800. When converted to USD, $1029 CAD works out to $782.

The computer has a hybrid drive-1TB 5.4k Hybrid HDD + 8G Cache. I notice the Dell XPS series has a 1TB 5400RPM Hard Drive + 32GB Solid State Drive. Are these essentially the same thing except that the XPS has 32g instead of 8g??? Is the 32g SSD a major upgrade or just a minor upgrade to the 8g???? (There are some features of the Inspiron that I'd prefer over the XPS)

Will the 8GB be enough cache space for a non-multitasking user like myself?

You don't even know it's there or have access to it. It just puts the most used files over time from the HDD to the 8GB SSD portion so they load faster. Over time, it builds up what you do and use the most and moves those files to the 8GB. It doesn't show up as a drive letter or anything, it's just there and built in.

That is very interested and sounds very efficient. So if you're a light user the 8GBs would be enough?
