As you may already know, Google collects a lot of data on its users and seeing as pretty much everyone is using at least one Google service, that is an enormous amount of data. You can restrict some of the information they collect by tweaking options in their privacy settings.

However, you can go even further with some help from the third-party tools. From VPNs, proxies to ad or tracker blockers, you have various tools at your disposal, that can increase your privacy and help with the Google tracking. So, without further ado, here are 10 great privacy tools.

    ■ For starters, you can try using a VPN (Virtual Private Network). You can search on the internet if you want a more detailed explanation on the VPN, but basically, you become invisible to your internet provider and also have your IP real address hidden. So any website you visit will not be able to see your real IP and therefore your location, instead, it will show your location in another country and/or city. One of those VPNs you can check out is TunnelBear, which can be used for free.

    ■ While not technically a privacy tool, Malwarebytes is great at battling spyware among other things.

    ■ There are some great privacy browsers out there, Tor being one of them which works similar to a VPN.

    ■ You don’t have to use Google as a search engine. DuckDuckGo is a very good search engine that doesn’t track you.

Windscribe is a VPN that’s also free, so if you want to try a free VPN this is also a good option.

Epicbrowser is also a great privacy browser that helps your identity stay hidden.

    ■ Two-factor authenticators are a must if you want to further increase your security and privacy. Authy is just an example out of many similar tools out there.

    ■ Password managers are tools that will help you secure your passwords. LastPass is a good option for these kinds of tools.

    ■ Even your emails aren’t that secure. To protect yourself from that invasion of privacy, you can check out some tools that help you encrypt your emails, like MailVelope.

    ■ Ad blockers not only block ads but can also stop tracking. Privacy Badger is a nice choice if you want to stop websites from tracking you.

Well, these are 10 great tools to help with your privacy. There are many more if you don’t like some of these, so make sure to do some research and see which one suits your best.
