100 Foot ehernet cable

Need to connect a Samsung DVD player to wired internet connection. Will a a 100 foot ethernet cable lose signal from a Lynksys E 25000 router?

Even cat 5 has a max length of 100m, or 300feet so 1/3rd of that should be ok.
