1080 and titan xp ORR titan Z for rendering

Hi guys. Im looking for new gpu just for rendering in 3ds! I want to buy 1080 or titan xp BUT Im stuck... i saw this video how titan z smash 1080 in blender https/youtu.be/F18AwaQWpVY
I know this is blender 2.77 not 2.78 and we dont see the full potential of new pascal. Thats why im interested which is better for rendering ? Thanks in advance.

GTX 1080 for best Value, Titan XP for overall best performance, Titan Z only has GDDR5 and not GDDR5X so I can't recommend Titan Z.

But why titn z is so much faster ? Because of old version of blender ? The results are 5 or 10 times faser of titan z. I want just faster times on rendering nothing else it doesnt matter the high wattage (i dont need quadro they are almost the same in time except the amount of 24gb which i dont need)

I have no idea, try comparing with more results and you might get an answer to the question.

I watched all tests and some similar .. thats why i am asking here. There is not enough info for 1080 and titan z in blender or other else help me please

According to these benchmarks 4 1080's are faster than 6 Titan Z, and 6 Titan Z's are barely faster with 1 second than 4 Titan XP's. But it seems to very inconsistant. 3 780's faster than 4 970's? and 4 980ti's faster than 4 Titan XP's? In my opinion you should ignore there benchmarks and go after what's better on paper which in value, as I said before, 1080. But for performance, Titan XP.

Thank you guys. After hudge research i choose.. it will be a new card. But now the question is two 1080 oc or one titan xp oc (for rendering) i cant wait for 1080ti (almost five mounths for aftermarket models)

Wait... There is aftermarket OC'd card of the XP? What I know there isn't, if there is you might want to consider it but I would say SLI 1080.

Do you know can i put 3 or 4 1080 on sli for rendering already (not with that entusiasthkey)
