I noticed that my laptop is playing low resolution videos(720p or below) a bit blurry. It's playing only1080p videos clearly. How do I make it play lower resolution videos clearly?

My old laptop that has a resolution of 1360X768 plays lower resolution videos fine.

Laptop info in case I need to do some settings.
i5 4210u, interated intel HD graphics
GeForce GT840M dedicated graphics.
1080p

I have set screen resolution 1080p(recommended).
* Haven't messed (changed) any default settings.

Also 720p videos look better when played with old laptop (1360X768) than when played with the new one.
The problem is in the dark areas. Those areas appear jaggy.

Solution
You'll need to live with it. 1080p resolution can show much more than that 768 resolution screen. When you put full screen that video stretched to the 1080p pixels and one pixel may stretched to more actual pixels on the screen. This gives the jaggy appearance.

Also you can make sure that you have installed latest drivers and a codec pack like k-lite codec to optimize the video output.
