Can anyone who has a full HD screen on a 15.6' laptop tell me if it is too much?

Also, while I also wonder why if it is too much, people just lower the res to say 1600x900, my friend has told me that this could lead to blurring or basically not as good a looking screen as its not native?? Is this true?
Thanks!

Too much..... what?
What would be the reason for not running at native resolution?

Running at non-native resolution can, in some cases, lead to text and edges looking not as sharply crisp or defined as running native resolution. But it would be wrong to say it's 'blurry'.
Not as good looking running games, looking at movies?

Try it yourself using what ever monitor your have now. Run a different resolution using the same aspect ratio and see what difference it makes to you.

As in, its too hard to see the screen, because it is so high resoltuion and the screen is rather small. So it may cause eye strain? And so reduce the res to non native to make it easier to read etc?

My monitor only goe up to 180x1024!

More resolution = more sharpness and clarity. The only issue would be text is too small which you can simply change by telling Windows to use large fonts....but 17" models are often only a few bucks more than 15's

The best thing to do is to go to a computer store and look at various laptops screen sizes and resolution to see if 1920 x 1080 on a 15.6" monitor could comfortable enough to read. Chances are they will not have a 1920 x 1080 resolution laptop, but you may get lucky.

I think text on 1920 x 1080 on a 15.6" is a bit too small for my taste.

Using a lower than native resolution on a LCD screen will make text less sharp. It's due to interpolation which tries to estimate where pixels should be placed for best results. The best thing to do is go to a computer store and lower the resolution to see the results for yourself.
