First time user, so be easy. This level of incompetence took years to develop.

Long story short, I'm looking for a recommendation for a cheap, but quality, 2.1 channel receiver to include multiple hdmi ports. Basically, I have two speakers and a subwoofer, an xbox one, and a cable tv connection. I'm looking for something cheaper than $100, but it doesn't have to be a receiver. Just something that will connect them all, and allow me to modify the volume, etc.

Solution
2.1 with HDMI exceedingly difficult. When you throw in HDMI, it implies video, and digital surround.

You do have another option though, let the TV switch video (plug all of your HDMI directly to TV), so four HDMI ports here would be nice. BUT switch all the audio through the receiver.

So your xbox (HDMI) ---->TV, xbox (Toslink) -----> Receiver.

Program your universal remote to send 2 sequences, one to switch TV, another to switch Receiver.

They are all active, and sound great when in use. Thanks for checking though.

Thanks for checking, but it looks like that one unfortunately doesn't have Hdmi inputs.

I meant passive*. Receivers have internal amplifiers, which are needed when your speakers don't have an internal one. I'm not sure what the device you want is called, but i'm pretty sure it's not a receiver.
