Hi!

While holding out for that big engineering paycheck I've still got a veeery ghetto-made speaker setup going in my student flat.

Basically I've got an old Yamaha DSPA590 receiver. To this I've hooked up two Gale's Gold Monitors as front speakers and one Centrum Sub 210 hooked up into the low pass terminal with a woofer cable. My receiver is then hooked up to the line out channel on my motherboard (ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING) with an RCA-To-Stereo adapter.

The problem is that I can't get my subwoofer to be recognized as a subwoofer and it instead acts like a center speaker (I think). Even having disabled full range speakers and switching the center/subwoofer output there's no difference. When I hook my old CD switch up to my amp there's no issue.

Explain to me where I'm going wrong and why I'm an idiot. Premature thanks.
