Question 2 computers at home with torrents: once kills the internet while torrenting, the other doesnt

if i try to download torrents on my computer, it completely kills the internet and its impossible to use it until the torrent finishes downloading or if i pause/delete the torrent.
I tried utorrent, bittorrent, qbittorrent, and transmission (all with default settings) and all of them kill the internet

But if i torrent (utorrent, default settings) on the other older computer, it slows down the internet a bit (as expected with torrents) but it doesnt kill the internet completely .

i googled this problem but i didnt find any information

Just a possibility; is one PC connected through a LAN and the other on WiFi or in the same LAN but through a switch?
