Hi! I need some help with finding a good gaming laptop with SSD. My budget is limited to 2000$ and the games the laptop is going to play is The Sims 3 and 4(when it is released) and maybe other FPS games like perhaps BF4 or COD Ghosts. Fyi, the computer is for my girlfriend and I have though of getting her this one ASUS G750JX ROG

Do you actually need a laptop? I mean for $2000 you can get a really good gaming desktop computer. Either way

But in my opinion, it's much more cost efficient / overall better to just build her a desktop PC from scratch. It's so much easier than you think, it's like piecing together some lego blocks, that don't mean you can be reckless though. There are guides all over the internet on how to build a computer, I prefer the newegg one though.

Thank you for the answer. Yes I know that a desktop PC would give me significantly higher performance for the money than a laptop and I am quite familiar with how to build it. I have just as ju said, considered building one to her and I have looked up all the parts for her. Though her main purposes world be gaming, she is also going to use the compiter in her studies. Then I tried to reconsider and asked for help with finding a good laptop as I actually not have experience in laptops... :)

Well although laptop gaming is more expensive for performance certainly, it doesn't require $2000 just to find a good one. The gaming ones mostly start at the $1000 line, about half of what you're looking for, so I'd take that other $1000 and invest it in something good. Anyway I'll await your feedback on my suggestions.
