I bought two mini pcs this past year (gotta get used to that!) and there are good and bad.

A chuwi rzbox had cooling probably made for a quad core vs an octo core. Overheated if you pushed it at all.

But I got the mentioned minisforum nucxi7 and that's a terrific machine. Dead quiet even when running a game in 4k. Inaudible over a fish tank pump that's 15' away. Performance is excellent, and the cooling definitely keeps up.

Having a laptop board in a larger space, with thicker coolers, more power, and better airflow is a good combo. Max from the wall has been around 170-180W flat out, with a few spikes up near 200.
