Is it possible to use a Motorola V400 as a gateway to the internet with the
ipaq 2215. If yes, how?

pair the devices using bluetooth and you would be able to
use the cell phone as a modem.

I didn't think v400 had BT ... v600 does. Is this correct ? I don't see
v600 on Cingular site anymore .

V400 does not have BT. V600 did, but they had so much trouble with it that it
was removed from the market in most stores.

I just got a Cingular V600, with bluetooth, and am trying to use it as
a modem with my iPAQ 4150. I made a bluetooth connection between the
two, and got the iPAQ to make the V600 dial my AT&T account phone
number, but got the error message "no modem at this number" but when I
dial the AT&T number manually, I hear a modem tone.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
That's why I don't see it online any more for my area. It looks like the
only other phone Cingular has with BT capability is an Ericcson and I can't
stomach the thought of purchasing that phone. I've always had Nokia and was
willing to sacrifice my preferred manufacturer for Motorola ... but I'm not
there with Ericcson.

Ahhh, so that's why I was able to find so many on E-Bay. I bought one,
too. What problems did they have? I'm hoping maybe I got one without
them?

I'm trying to use it with my iPAQ to connect to the internet.

Don't know, the lady at the store did not go into it.

One for the V400 is a USB modem which connects to a laptop but that does not
resolve the ipaq issue.
