If you think about it these gold plated items if not counterfeited could be worth much much more about 25 years down the road. If you had extra cash laying around a gold plated PS3 would be worth many thousands more later on. Just keep it in pristine condition and in a safe. I'd buy one now to sell to a collector later. But like everyone else in the country I don't have $5,000 in my front pocket, only $4900.
