I have a (1001 bd rf mono amp 1000 watt going to) rockford fosgate p2d2-12 dual 2 ohm wired at 4 ohms in a box. From there connected to a box with an old school 12 in Earthquake Tremor (single 8 ohm) and from that box to a Rockford Punch HX2 (1000 watt) dual 4 ohm sub wired at 8 ohms and somehow my amp is pushing at 2 ohm, 1000+ watts... Can someone explain to me how this is possible? Thank you very much.

Solution
Hi
Well, according to Ohms law 8ohm plus 8 Ohm plus 4 Ohm in parallel is 2 Ohms so you must have them all wired in parallel.

Thank You!! That was very lucky of me to wire them up that way in that order. I have had makeshift car stereos pieced together from pawn shops for the past 20 years and only now am i learning about ohms and various wiring options depending on subs and amp and the basic details. I feel pretty foolish for assuming all these years now that 1000 watt amp would push out 1000 watts no matter the subwoofer or wiring.
